carbon monoxide alarm advice

Post by elmanc » Fri Jun 28, 2013 3:11 pm

Hi , All
I have bought a Fireangel co-9b carbon monoxide alarm off fleabay, for the inside of the van as it stated that it detects gas. As I carry a gas bottle inside and am concerned with any leaks (for obvious reasons) I thought this a good idea.

However i have now read that it wont detect propane or butane ? Any advice welcome. I only cook with it anyway and turn off the bottle at night. Am I being paranoid lol

Regards all
The only difference between a mad man and I is that I am not mad !

I don't think you are being paranoid, when you use your equipment they then may give off carbon monoxide fumes we have one in the house that we taske with us when camping

We are selling our house & had to have them fitted as we have 3 gas fires. So we bought an extra one for the Bongo - I will fit it tomorrow.
