lights on warning buzzer

Post by Jon H » Fri Jun 14, 2013 6:29 pm

Just getting used to my new bongo. It's got dim dash lights and no lights on warning alarm and that's why I've flattened the battery 3 times by leaving them on. I can't get more intelligent so can somebody recommend a good after market product.

Thanks for looking.

That's a bit vague. I'm after a buzzer to warn me my lights are on when I leave the van.

That is a normal function of the Bongo, but most people disable it!
They most likely have cut the wire to the alarm, down by the drivers right foot, behind the trim. Have a look there and see if they have cut the Red with Black stripe wire, if so join it back again, otherwise they may have disabled all the beeps by blocking / cutting etc inside the module.

I thought all Bongos had them fitted as standard ..(mine as) ..??

On mine I have disconnected the buzzer for the door open / key in the ignition buzzer .. maybe some one as disconnected that and your lights on buzzer ..??

Aftermarket lights on alarms are simple to fit to the drivers courtesy light door switch, even the local car shop should have them in stock .. or Amazon ...Ebay ..
