speedo problems

needle of speedo drops to zero while driving along & then flickers about . if I stop for a while it works ok for a while then plays up again.

was it chipped to read mph that might be loose or bad

it may have been before I bought it as the odometer does appear to be measuring in miles

I've got the same problem. Mechanic thinks it's a fault within the speedo mechanism itself.

could jut be a loose wire

Just to update you, it was a faulty chip which I had replaced by G&P campervan, & after several journeys of various distances, I have had no further problems
