2.0ltr average running temperature
Can anyone give me an idea of the temperature that my truck should be running at on average. It seems to run at around late70s to mid 80s unless I'm driving into the wind and then it seems to slowly climb to anywhere between mid to late eighties. I seem to remember reading one of the posts saying that a efficient running engine should be running around mid to late eighties. The readings I have are from a TM4 off of the rocker cover at the rear.

Hi,
Your tempratures seem reasonable, my V6 petrol runs late 70's to lower 80's. So I would think that would not be to much different from the 2ltr both being petrols.
Cheers

Don't worry about it mate, I don't even look at the temp gauge anymore since getting my 2.0, just watch the fuel gauge now

Do what you like.Like what you do.

I know what you're saying but you hear so emphasis on over heating with Bongos that it makes you paranoid.
