full beam indicator light

Post by bobthebirder » Tue Dec 19, 2006 5:15 pm

Does anyone know why my blue full beam indicator should be on all the time? My full beam failed at the same time. Is it likely to be a bulb, or a fuse, or a wiring fault?

It could well be that the blown headlight bulb has an internal short, and that is causing your full beam lamp to come on. Change the bulb and see if it fixes the problem. Same thing happened on my Civic last year. Hope this helps.

Thanks, it turned out to be a corroded contact blade due to a crack in the rubber cover surrounding the lead to the bulb. Cleaned it up a bit and it all works fine now.
