Hose blown!
After 2 years of happy Bongoing I had my first major coolant issue last night on the M4, first thing I know Haydn Low Coolant Alarm is beeping at me... So Haydn another notch for the engine saved post.
After recovery I've had a look, the hose, a thick one under the drivers seat top right up next to the right of the EGR steel pipe, anyone knows which one this is please? If that's to vague I can post a pic?
I've seen these silicon packs of quite a few the blue coloured ones, should I get them? Should I be replacing all the hoses? If not which ones should I change?
Thanks Jim

Re: Hose blown!
Sounds like the same one we had go a few weeks back
It's the main hose that goes to the steel pipe leading back to the radiator.
Have a look at the Lush projects pages depending on which model Bongo you have.
Got ours from Ian at the shop.
I changed all the main hoses on the basis that it is 12 years old and if one has gone it's likely the others are ready.

Re: Hose blown!
Hi
My gut feeling is that if one goes, you need to raid the piggy bank and get the rest done for peace of mind, and change the stat and water-pump...radiator too if funds permit....I think you can then put your feet up and put most of the rest of the Bongo problems behind you....it'll only be the odd joints and rubbers to cause minor concern then!
Cheers
Helen

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
Re: Hose blown!
Yes, did the 5 main ones Jim.
Re: Hose blown!
hi, Bought my Bongo and it had the 5 main hoses replaced. Sourced the other 12 and all clips from my local mazda dealer using the part numbers from Lushprojects. If the number is available on the drawing then the mazda dealer can usually get it. Some are available in their europe depot others come from Japan so it is best to plan ahead if possible and get the parts before you start the job.
