Window blinds wiring loom?
A local chap has just picked up some electric window blinds off me to retro fit to his manual blind Bongo. Does anybody know if the wiring loom is already in place behind the panels, so just a matter of locating it and plugging in? Thanks.

Re: Window blinds wiring loom?
I tried on my bongo to retrofit leccy blinds, I took out all the panels and roof headliner and found no wiring loom for the blinds, my bongo is Ford Freda dunno if that makes any difference.
I also do not have leccy folding mirrors (cheap ford version of the bongo)

Lost without my Bongo.

I've also got a set of leccy ones but not got round to fitting yet. If you can get them done then I can see how hard it is.
I was thinking of just wiring them straight to the lb with maybe one switch to work them all.

You could in theory use 2 X 4 window roll up modules...? One module to drive the four motors down & one to drive em back up.
Using 2 momentary switches, perhaps as a ground/earth trigger.. One for each function... (Up/down. Just touch the button briefly & the modules do the rest.)
These modules could take a constant fused live from the LB & just wire the rest of the gubbins in the back.
You could even get em to function when you lock the van!!
Forgot about this.. It may give you the idea..? I have one blind triggered from the door pin just to go up if down.. http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... l+blind+me
If your wiring a blind loom in from scratch??

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Re: Window blinds wiring loom?
I've got spare switches for the dashboard as well as the 4 in the rear if he needs them.
Re: Window blinds wiring loom?
I've got the 4 rear ones but not the fronts if BrianD don't want them.

Re: Window blinds wiring loom?
Hi, the chap has the switches with the blinds, plus multi plug fittings and a few inches of the looms in case he wants to have a go at rewiring from scratch so they operate as the original system. Very likely though, as per the suggestion above, it will be a simple up/down effort.

Re: Window blinds wiring loom?
To replace the wiring loom is not a difficult job there are only 3 wires between front switches and the individual switches, +12v and two control wires.
