I've spent some time in members area and general forum reading all the threads on heaters to try and find a solution to the following
My 1995 2.5 td runs like a dream except the top blower does not put out the same heat as the one at my feet! I don't think there are any leaks or bleeding issues, the fan simply pushes cold air out when set to face yet hot air when set to feet! Any ideas appreciated , all linkages seem to be in place. As long as the same matrix is supplying heat for head and feet then there are no issues with the amount of heat generated, it simply does not provide the same heat out top vents as it does to feet. Plenty of fan power just no heat. No rear heater in the vehicle.
Thanks

Re: heater query
Have you checked the link on the Passenger side ? This is the one that controls the heating, there is only a single heating matrix, but maybe if the vane isn't operating fully it is affecting how much heat gets to the top vents ?

Thanks , I've had a look and it seems to operate ok. Heat goes to screen and feet no probs so looks like ill have to take it apart at some point and look for an obstructiong8dhe wrote:Have you checked the link on the Passenger side ? By "top blower" do you mean the face vents?
If so on many vehicles the face vents (sensibly in my view) only give put blended hot/cold air instead of pure hot air. I'm not sure if the Bongo is one.
I for one hate having to have hot air blasted in my face, just because I want warm feet.
