quick question about willinton splitcharge relay and battery

Post by Darkstar » Sat Apr 27, 2013 5:43 pm

Hi all,

Purchased a Willinton kit and have just took delivery of my leisure battery, not going to have time to fully install it all at the moment, so my question is; If i put my battery in place and connect the Willinton kit without doing the fuse connections will it over charge the leisure battery?

i heard that the relay cuts in when the starter is fully to then charge the leisure battery, but will it cut out when the leisure battery is charged?

sorry to be a simpleton but i cant get into my garage to put it on my charger ( believe me when i tell you its so full of junk I've got no where to put the battery.)

It won't overcharge your leisure battery, the charge from the alternator is regulated whichever battery it happens to be charging at the time.
