Yes check out the motor first, if you don't have a meter - that is the most likely cause if its been working previously.

Re: Rear heater has stopped working
I have spare rear heater motor if you get stuck.
Re: Rear heater has stopped working
Got the motor out, It spins freely and works slowly with 12 volts on it.
Got the resistor out as well.

Re: Rear heater has stopped working
Is this a direct feed from the battery not via the resistors etc. ? If so then there is something wrong it should go full pelt with 12 volts applied direct!works slowly with 12 volts on it.
The resistors drop the voltage applied to the motor to slow it down, so if you tested it using the normal feed and controls then expect the speed it was set to - however it doesn't sound like the fuse blew which was the original problem?

Re: Rear heater has stopped working
Morning Geoff
Took the motor out cleaned and lubed it up loosely fitted it back in and changed the 30a fuse.
connected everything up except for the resistor and the fan works fine on fan speed 3 but not 1 or 2, which i think is right as there is no resistor connected?
Connected the rersistor back and fan still works fine on speed 3 but speed 1 and 2 does not work!
So i believe its the resistor?
I took the resistor apart and the transistor looks as though it has burnt out so i am first going to try and replace the transirtor and hope that solves the problem?
Does this sound about right to you?
thanks againg for all your advice

Re: Rear heater has stopped working
Yes that sounds correct, however I suspect that the cause of the transistor blowing and the Fuse was the motor being jammed in some way, the transistor doesn't normally blow just like that and the continued blowing of the fuse on full power suggests exactly the same!
Might be worth checking that there are no odd items kicking about in the air pipes or boxes!

Re: Rear heater has stopped working
Hi Geoff
Just want to thank you for all your help. I fixed the rear resistor by replacing the transistor inside £7 well spent and it all works fine.
Thanks again

Re: Rear heater has stopped working
Excellent, was there any reasons discovered why they blew in the first place ?
