rear door light

Post by lancyman » Tue Apr 09, 2013 3:59 pm

Hi Folks,

I just noticed that the small light by the back door has stopped working.
I went to replace the bulb, but no joy. Anyone got any ideas what might
be causing this? I cleaned the contacts, and tried another bulb, but no luck.
Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you tried changing the position of the switch on the lamp? One position is 'always off'.

& with the switch in courtesy position when the tailgate is open give the latch ai bit of a jiggle.. It may need cleaning out. The earth switch is positioned in the tailgate latch, in fact when you pul the handle on opening if the contact is dirty you may even see the light flash briefly??
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
