Could be almost anything, but sounds like an electrical issue. Apart from checking the additional fuses that would have been fitted as part of the conversion, there is not much more you can do. My advice would be to contact the people who fitted the alternator to see if they have any suggestions and mention that you may have to book it into a specialist to be looked at. Any decent garage will be able to cover the cost of rectifying any problems they have inadvertently introduced.

Hi

Had fuses checked by a local Porsche garage and they are all ok :( :( :( :(

Looks like yet another trip to Wales (I love Wales but when I choose to visit not when I have to!)

How does Slough grab you as a destination? Not as nice as Wales I grant you, but a bit closer :). Check out the recommendation from 'apole' here: http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... re#p581861

As Simon says, it could be anything. Changing the alternator should make no difference. So let’s get back to basics and look at if there is any part of the LPG system in the vicinity of the alternator, if there is check it all for damage or loose connections. Also are you sure the display was on before the change?

Thanks guys - it did cross my mind to speak to or visit Slough for an independent view as its now getting very messy with one side blaming the other and me being told it is going to be very expensive to fix by the gas fitters!! I simply dont have the mental strength at the moment to argue or resolve this one as we are dealing with my mothers rapidly deteriorating dementia at the moment    .

Yes it was working on the way and i checked it as i left and no it wasnt working. One thing is for sure I know its not my fault on this occasion ... ill give Slough a call and see what they have to say ...

Thanks

Ok ive spoken to BPV ... they can look at it next Friday (which i can live with) and if need be reprogramme the ECU which is likely however they also need to establish the reason for no power. They can work on AC Stagg systems. Depending on the outcome will be whether i have the energy to take it further.

Will let you all know the outcome.

Many thanks again

(Oh and PS I work from home and they will let me connect to their wifi and work from their office - result!)
