heater

Post by Baz and Helen » Mon Apr 01, 2013 12:32 pm

Hi back again Im afraid with the same problem. The heater does not get hot, we have checked the flaps in the footwell and they do not move, so was wondering if anyone could tell me how to put this right. As I said previously have had new hoses, new radiator and bled the system so there is no air in it. Any help appreaciated. many thanks Baz and Helen

do hoses both get hot were they feed it through the bulkhead

if only one its blocked up you can try back flushing

you will find various you tube on using chemicals

Which type of controls do you have ?
Is it the mechanical slider type or the electronic version ?
Below are the electronic versions with servo's driving the controls, but similar on the mechanical I believe.
The disk in the drivers footwell controls the directions that the air comes out, so it should move when you select feet/body/screen.

The single flap on the passenger side controls the heat output, adjust the temperature control to see it move.

If both hoses dont get hot...one will be a tiny bit cooler having given up some heat

then it matters not about flaps as no heat is getting into the rad as its blocked up
