I have memories of the floor wash-wipe switch operating at the same time on my MK1 Escort estate....

A great idea.. I've been thinking of using an old keyboard sustain pedal modified as a momentary switch to do a similar job down near or on the foot rest plate..?

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Hi all

Just bumping this as think my rear washer pump has packed in.

Plenty of water, front washer and wipers work fine so asusme fuse is ok - front one makes no noise and there is also no obvious leaks.

Struggling to find a replacement online - can anyone point me in the right direction? Spotted the ones on the members shop but £85 for a tiny pump seems a bit steep!

There are these, but probably not right:

Weirdly the rear demist has packed up as well but I think this is just coincidence as dont believe there any shared fuses?

Cheers

Don't get the universal one as its designed to fit inline in a pipe. There is some debate about the connector configuration between front and rear pumps, but this one will fit the bottle and will work for front or rear (depending on connector configuration). It's only £4.91 delivered.

Worst case, you'll need to take the Lucar connectors from the plastic block on the loom and slide them directly on to the spade connectors.

Thanks loads - bookmarked!

Brilliantly though I've just had a play with the pump (again) and its sparked back into life. Must have been a loose connection or some corrosion on the spades, or i've dislodged a stuck pump with repeated fiddling

Just the rear demist to figure out now then :-)
