What's this tube do please?

Post by Gixermark » Sun Mar 03, 2013 10:48 pm

Hi

Been doing all my 'lower' oil's this weekend ( gearbox/axle's/transfer box/Power steering ) and whilst under the driver's side of the engine cover, noticed a tube not connected! Re slid it back on as it's obviously meant to be on the electrical connector but ..... what's it do / for please?
Also noticed it has a very small filter with an arrow pointing 'upwards' so ......anyone?

Thanks :?

Its the EGR vacuum solenoid. The Wiki is great for identifying these parts as well http://mazdabongo.wikispaces.com/Parts
http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... 1of02.html its No.2 in the diagram.
