Glow Plug Light on Permanently

It's not flashing a sequence, it's just on all the time. This has got the mechanics at Dore Service Station here in Sheffield stumped. They've checked the leisure battery, vehicle battery, alternator etc, but it's none of them. Any ideas?

Its driven directly from the ECU module Ian, so it could be a fault in the ECU itself or a contact in the wiring (less likely) might be worth just unplugging the ECU to see if it goes out if so then it suggests something with the ECU.
Its B2-01 connector and on the diagram its the (18) link towards top right;

Following Geoff... I would disconnect battery for an hour or so..... kind of an easier method of disconnecting the ECU and resetting it....... I assume they have checked the Glow Plug relay?...
