Re: Yorkshire Dales
I think I am still swaying towards the South, went past the ice cream place on my way to Blackburn not so long ago and it looked like a nice place.

Re: Yorkshire Dales
How bizarre. I'm sure I posted a good few local camp sites on here a while back. Infact, I spent a good half day researching all the info for stop over visitors. Where the heck has it gone?

I am suffering a moment of blindness and seem to not be able to see the date . . . ?B*Witched Blingo wrote: Well, you have the location. You have a date. All you we need now is for you to join us
Really looking forward to meeting you all on a very special Bongo Day.

Has anybody any idea of numbers turning up, just out of interest. Scotland meet seems to be gathering momentum. Is there an award for the region with the most attendees?

What kind of time are people turning up? Don't want to drive and turn up as everyone goes.

Add Pete Sinclair to your list. He phoned to say his computer is bust, but he's definitely coming.

Re: Yorkshire Dales 24th Feb 2013 update ;@)
Just got back from a checkup visit to the Yorkshire Dales Icecream farm.
We had a good chat about parking arrangements etc. They are really looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday.
Just to remind you of what to expect.
1 Huge Play Barn which includes hand made wooden Trucks,Trains and carriages on one side. Ideal for the younger generation but strong enough for mum, dad or gramps to join in as well. On the other side there is an assault course made of Straw, ropes tyres, Slides and more straw. Great fun for to older ones.
Outside you can order pretty much what is available inside of the main building. Hot Coffee, chocolate, Soda and Sundae's.
Check out the rickety house in the yard. It's pretty cute.
2 Huge outdoor play area with umpteen different objects to climb and explore. This area also has lots and lots of Tables for peeps to sit and watch the little one's play.
The views of the Dales are breath taking.
3 Inside the main building houses the main kitchen and seating area in the style of a 1950's Diner. The staff are very helpful and aim to have you seated as quickly as possible. We have to understand though this is half term and could be a little busy. Please be patient.
We have been allocated the lower field to park the Bongo's together. This will give us more room to spread out a little. They will accommodate us elsewhere if the field is to wet, though the forecast is good for this week. Fingers crossed for this then.
I'll be ready to issue you with you Bumper Sticker on arrival.
I have said to the owners that people are likely to start arriving around 10 a.m. onwards
I can assure you, this is not a little wood shack in the middle of nowhere of the Yorkshire Dales. It's so much more.
So, if you fancy joining us, your more than welcome. See you there.

Re: Yorkshire Dales Bongo Anniversary day 24th Feb
I can absolutely verify what Chell has written above.....it's bl**dy wonderful !! There's loads of stuff/adventure activities for kids of all ages + adults can join in too. For those of you who were fortunate to go to the Lincs bash organised by 'still desperate' [Iain] a couple of years ago....its remineminemi...scent ??? ......reminded me of that a little due to the covered barns to play in, and the farm setting. Kids will love the choice of food on offer..... as usual for this type of place...own food is not allowed
Am really looking forward to this one...aswell as meeting up with everyone again, and sitting looking at those stunning views
Fingers crossed for some sun/dry weather folks !
NB. Yes they have a tractor..should anyone get stuck !
