External thermal screens

Post by Getcarter » Fri Feb 08, 2013 11:29 am

Anyone know where I can buy an external screen for the windscreen and front windows? Can't find one for the bongo anywhere but I seem to remember reading about someone using a VW version that fitted fine.

[-X Tried to fit these £20 screens to my Bertha, ripped down seams before i got her covered. Phoned Scotland. They suggested silver gaffer tape.I gave them neg feedback.More material reqd in screen.Solution cut screen along seams making 3 ,windscreen plus both side windows. Not quite a silk purse out of a sows ear but better than binning them.Don't waste your money on these flimsey things. :(

That's just what happened with ours. First time I tried to fit over mirrors.

Here is what I got - it was £50 - but it's a pretty good fit. It's in 3 pieces which velcros together - so you can adjust it a bit for fit. Once fitted I fold in my mirrors & it has held well in place in quite high winds. http://www.justkampers.com/review/produ ... egory/705/

(I found the recco on this forum of course - if you read the reviews someone mentions that it fits a Bongo)

I have those too Alimey - They have so far been very good and have stood up to very windy conditions in the Western Isles and the North West coast of Scotland.
