Rear wiper arm?

Rear wiper arm?
I've heard of a Mazda 121 wiper arm fitting the Bongo, but are any other compatible? They seem like a pretty generic fitting, so I'm guessing there are a few smarter looking options than the standard bit of faded metal that is currently on the back of ours.
Any ideas?

I took mine off, rubbed it down with p180 sand paper sprayed with etch primer then a slight key with wet and dry and then sprayed with Matt black. Looks like new

Mazda 121 is just a rebadged Fiesta. I think some people have fitted a wiper arm from Mazda Demio. Alternatively, some fine sandpaper and an aerosol of satin paint will make the existing one look like new.

Re: Rear wiper arm?
The Mazda 121 / fiesta isn't a direct fit over to the bongo, the wiper motor spindle on the bongo is smaller, you can make it work as I have by drilling out the pivot pin then using the bongo mount and the 121 arm and spring, using a black screw and nut to hold the 2 units of your hybrid together, mine looks great but if the demio is a direct fit it would be an easier option.

I think I'll head down the re-spay option! We have a spray booth and workshop at my place of work and the guys have offered to help out.

Dont need a booth mate just take it off give it a rub and aerosol a bit black on, 10 mins tops. Did mine ages ago and they lasted fine.
Do what you like.Like what you do.

Demio is a straight fit..... it's plastic and the blades are purpose fit.... BDC has one on his Bongo
Many of my Jap pals have fitted them...

I didn't even spray. Just stippled black hammerite on with a bit of sponge. One coat job, no need to take them off either. They look like they were meant to be like that. Stippling is often overlooked as a technique, I used it also on my wheel arches as wanted simple effective solution

Hi
Thanks for this thread!...It's reminded me to re-paint mine...I just brush 'em with a lovely gloss black...lasts for ages...it's like a Hammerite smooth, but REALLY good...and like Mike says...few minutes work for a KOOL look
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

If you do go for a respray?
While the wiper arms off, tighten up the spring for a bit more wiper blade to glass pressure by pinching up the angle on the "hooks" a little that hold the spring in place...!

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Mine are done now & look a lot nicer.
Sadly, I missed the trick about tightening the spring - I'll add that to my my growing list.
