Fitting a hard floor

Post by TimC » Mon Feb 11, 2013 8:45 am

Morning all

Has anyone fitted a hard floor to a bongo?

This weekend I'm planning on removing the passenger area carpet and boarding it out + link (with appropriate cut outs for seat runners and the fold up rear seat floor brackets.

Was going to use 12 or 16 mm marine ply, although may have to put some wooden ribs in for strength or packing. Will use the carpet as template.

The carpet got a bit wet and smelly last year when camping due to the deluges we endured, plus it would be easier to keep clean with muddy MTB kit.

Any pointers?

Thanks
