Ok, for the first time in a long time I need your help, I have had a small shunt and damaged the front of my bongo, I have stripped off all the damaged parts and repaired or replaced them ( I will just add that most of the damage was caused by my bull bars smashing through the bumper, front panel and grill ) on checking everything is working I find the washers have packed up, the fuses are ok and the motors both run when connected to a battery.
Am I missing something obvious like an earth lead to the bodywork or an inline fuse.
This is driving me MAD.

As neither motor works when wired up normally, but fine when connected direct to battery, I'd go for an earthing fault. You can see one of the earthing points here just behind the panel under where the n/s headlight fits. It's a while plastic block containing a number of cables that are crimped to a contact that is fitted with an M6 bolt to the front panel. Try undoing the bolt and clean the contact and bodywork with some sandpaper and them put a smear of Vaseline over it to keep moisture at bay. I can't say categorically that's the earthing point for the washer pumps, but it would seem logical based on it's location.

Yup, Earth points 1 and 2 either side;

You might check that the wiring loom didn't get squashed in the shunt, causing broke wires ?

Thank you both for your suggestions, i think Simon has hit the nail on the head as while i had the front off i stripped everything off cleaned it up and under sealed the panels, how dumb am i to think it would be a good idea, never mind i will sort it out tomorrow. Thanks again.
