Someone bumped the Bongo today and took some paint off to reveal bare metal.I have gone through the paint threads and fact sheets, and my paint code is 14N(on the door pillar)and looking at the fact sheets this equates to 6r+4z.with information can I go into Halfords and ask them to make up a touch up stick to code 6r
Many thanks in anticipation, as I would like to cover up the bare metal ASAP
Neil

These kind of things really get Me angry.
There are some bloody careless people out there arent there.
Hope its not too noticeable when you get it sorted

Thanks Dave, but unfortunatley its on the rear quarter, so its creased the panel which has split the paint, otherwise I would have called the dent magician, but I need to seal the paint up untill I can get some cash together to take to the body shop

I used vaseline on a new car that I had, kept checking and applying over the scratch until I had the money to pay for repairs, no water penetration to the metal and was touched up like a proper job! I even got over the market value when the car was traded in. Kept applying the vaseline for almost 3 months before repairs where carried out.

the paint code should be on a plate on the door jarm on the passenger side of the bongo, as a precautionary measure get a touch up primer from any motor factors to apply to the bare metal before any salt/ grit starts eating away at it. Be wary of any grease type sealant as, when paint time comes it will be a bugg3r for the paint shop to get the paint to stick! depending how good they prep the area. Some times you will find that the grease/ silicon can bleed through fresh paint days or even weeks later.

From New Year I will have 6R (Bordeaux).
Other colours can be stocked if I get minimum order of 3.

Good news! Touch up kits for 6R (Bordeaux) will be available from Monday 17th at the club shop, and not New Year as previously advertised.
