Re: intercooler anyone upgraded
Hi
It's not as easy as just "bunging on" a larger intercooler...there are a few other factors that need addressing
....you'd be better cleaning your own one out inside- degreasing, and straightening the fins
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

Re: intercooler anyone upgraded
just measured the intercooler rough measurements are
1ft wide x 6" high x 2.5" deep not very big at all
for now i have expanded the plastic scoops with some struts to see if this makes any difference. I'll take the thing off when it warms up a bit and stops raining and give it a good clean inside and straighten the fins up
cheers Paul
I'll be also looking into getting a bigger one and stick it in the front with my mechanic friend anyone got the details on the adjustments 'tuneup that is required? sorry he'll be doing the technical stuff not me but if you tell me what needs doing i can pass it on to him anything need doing with the turbo also?
thanks

I'm slowly putting together a water cooled intercooler for mine, been a while in the making but should be good when finished, just need coolant pipes now really and to fit it all!

Re: intercooler anyone upgraded
I recall reading of a system that sprayed water/methanol onto the intercooler to improve its effectiveness through evaporative cooling. Didn't require huge quantities of spraying to achieve a result. Might be worth googling?
