Men...(in a nice why)

Post by Terri & colin » Thu Jan 17, 2013 12:11 pm

I reversed my van in the works car park yesterday.. The van just cut out dead. The green flag man came out and I said I think that a fuse may have blown somewhere... No no no he said it's the starter motor coz there's no power to it..ok I said but if the engine management has no power... Would that to stop power, I asked? Anyway to get to the point after 2hrs, he found a fuse blown, he said it was to the immobiliser... Iv just checked on here with the fuse map... Damn I was right... :P

I can see why he didn't take notice... I was in chef whites lol x

Does anyone know why that happened was my question? No the green flag man thing.. The fuse going?

Which fuse blew and which vehicle type? The Bongo doesn't have an immobiliser itself so it must be an add on.

I think fuse 15..20 amp in cab is for the washers/wipers.

Under bonnet fuse 15..30 amp for rear heater.

No real answer, as Teenmal says, neither of those fuses is going to affect the engine itself.
I wonder if the fuel cut-off valve (diesel) might be intermittent ? Have you had any work done on the vehicle at all recently ?
