Can I chip it?

Post by NathanDp » Sat Jan 12, 2013 10:39 am

Hi all,

First post, so apologies if this question has been asked...

Has anyone on here chipped their 2.5td? Does anyone know of a product or performance and economy gains/stats?

Found these guys in a google search - http://www.dcptuning.com/car-ecu-remap- ... mazda.html

...no real info or tech details though.

I understand that the diesel is the same engine as a similar aged Ford Ranger. Tried searching for products for this too...

Many thanks

Nathan

The fuel pump is a purely mechanical device in the way it delivers fuel. So no electronics means no chipping.

I had a replacement fuel pump overhauled recently including seal replacements. Running high % veg oil most of the time runs like a dream.
