thinking of replacing temp gauge

comes with built in temp alarm but unsure if same size fitting for the temp sender does anyone know what size the temp sender on the bongo is

I would just test it to ensure its accrate before you fit it, I am sure it is but better safe

its just got to be better than the bongo one ,even better as it is not a moving coil gauge but a stepper motor type

They have exceptionally good feed back,do they state the size of the sensor or do they supply what is required.

There's nothing wrong with the Mazda gauge that can't be resolved by fitting a Mason alarm or doing a small mod with a resistor or diode (can't recall which). I think fitting additonal temperature gauges is a wise precaution, but I'd be wary of relying solely on an aftermarket unit, especially one which has a lot more to potentially go wrong.

this gauge does also have a warning light which you can set to alert you to high temp so you are not clock watching all the time and can enjoy driving again
pointless watching bongo gauge as the readings are so far out even with the mod done

have the mod done on mine but the gauge just reacts to slow is what i meant to say

Fit a TM-4 if you want instant accurate readings of the head temp with settable alarm

it already had a tm2 alarm fitted when we bought the bongo but for some strange reason this the last time it overheater the temp on it showed only a few degrees over normal running temp which for us is normal when sitting in traffic. however the low coolent alarm one of haydens which was also fitted before we got it never went off but this again would be normal due to no coolant loss just the opposite (pressurized system head or gasket gone) but the temp gauge went to over heat in a blink of a eye no time to react hence why i want to measure water temp better dont know if it would have helped in this case but you never know

I have one temp sensor actually within the top hose in the coolant.
