Wishbone Dust cover and Control rod cover - specifics

Post by Dodgey » Wed Jan 09, 2013 5:42 pm

Hi - I've read all the threads on replacing the lower wishbone/suspension and steering control arm dust covers/boots but no one who has replaced them seems to confirm which model they used. i.e. someone says, "make sure you know the height of the boot you need" - but then doesn't say! :-)

For the lower wishbone ball joint joint dust cover the best I've gathered is this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-SLIDE-A-B ... 27ce3ffa2c

For the steering control arms I have a mazda part number: B455-32-279 I got form a post on here, but is there an ebay equivalent?

Gotta order up the bits in my "10 working days" to a retest! :-)

Actually, I've ordered:

These as receommended:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170964023852? ... 1439.l2649

And also, as they post 1st class:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170970707879? ... 1439.l2649

and for my steering control rods:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181058204366? ... 1439.l2649

Should cover all eventualities! I will of course report back with photos of the install as this will be a very common "repair" with the new MOT regs this year
