If its not one thing its another lately...
besides my sticking caliper... and my water damaged alternator i have a new problem.
Went over huge pot hole doing about 45 MPH on Monday ( near side), did not think anything of it until i arrived at the next roundabout,
i turned the steering wheel as normal but i had to quickly turn opposite lock as it felt like it was going to skid, so i drove carefully to work, on the way home it seemed ok..
then yesterday it seemed ok , but today the steering seems very strange, its like (if you imagine the steering wheel is a clock with 12 being straight)
when i turn left with steering wheel at 11 o'clock its fine but go towards 10 o'clock and the steering seemed heavy, go past 10 o'clock and it was ok, go to 9 o'clock and it felt like
the rear of the van did not want to follow the front wheels, i can maybe notice that turning left the van did not seem as stable as it does turning right,
the only other thing i can say is if i let go of steering wheel whilst driving in a straight line it does not veer of to the left any more than it did before the pot hole.
I am getting the tracking check tonight...

Re: Pot hole blues..
Take a picture of the pothole with something to indicate how deep it is like a brick. Years ago I damaged what I think was the track rod on the front wheel of a Saab after hitting a huge pothole in the dark. On my insurance companies advice I went back and took a photo of the pothole (using the brick), sent the bill and photo to Liverpool City Council who paid up.

The fact that the council have filled it in would suggest someone has already complained, so you should still be able to claim for the cost of any damage.
