roof stuck up, help!
The roof on my bongo is stuck up. It's the first time we raised the roof since buying it and it's got stuck in the up position. I'm not 100% sure that it's all the way up as the beeping won't stop. any suggestions welcome.

....and a beeping noise should start. You then have a period of time during which the roof lowering button will remain operative.daveblueozzie wrote:Handbrake on, and the gear lever in park. is a good start.

-- and don't panic when it doesn't go all the way down - it's designed to do that so that you can check everything is in order - just push the lowering button again and it will go all the way.

Did you have the engine running when you raised it? The motors draw a lot of current so need the alternator charging the battery which may explain why it has not fully opened. Press the button in the roof by the skylight and then press the close switch within a few second and it should start to come down. If not, there are instructions in the handbook on how to lower it with a piece of rope and an Allan key, but it will be very tricky to open it afterwards.
