refurb alloys DIY

Must be January madness.. first Awnings and now alloys!
Seen some 18" RX8 Alloys on weebay for £50, they need a full refurb and Mrs W thinks it to be a silly thing.

How easy is it to DIY?

not an easy DIY job without the equipment .. even Nitromors and similar paint stripper isn't cheap ... this is a localish to me ..

I recently fitted RX8 wheels to my Bongo...they look great....mine are black though.

55 series tyres fill the wheel wells.

Better fuel consumption on a run as well...

It may be Epiphany but it could also be the end of Mr W as well, which i guess from an insurance point of view wouldnt be too bad.. hang on a sec..

Thanks, Muz...I believe I might just turn religious...AND it coincides with 2 local festivals on the 6th and 7th, where religious adherence is not required...so I may opt for these festivals instead....Namely the 2 "Name-Days", where they celebrate the names Ivan and Iordan...and as we know one of each, we're quids in for a session!...all we need to do is find an excuse for tomorrow....wait a minute...I have it...buying the new kitchen tiles!....waaa-haaay

£50 sounds too good to be true to me.
They could be bent, (I don't mean stolen), really badly corroded, cracked or gone porous and cost a lot to sort out.

Professional refurb typically costs £50 each and will be far superior to anything that can be done at home with a few spray cans.

i have just fitted a set of rx8 last year. if u can get them for £50 that is cheap. i paid £100 for mine then £200 for a black refurb. look mint well worth it.
