Had kit for about 5 years. In Turkey after purchase of new Waeco fridge (great little toy) the kit used to click loudly if engine not run n ing and all night unless on hook up (and even then for a few hours). Bloody annoying. On way home fuse/kit or both went. The noise stopped and willington relay green light went out. Now cannot activate side mirrors, central locking, rear cigarette lighter, front cigarette lighter and maybe something else I have not noticed. I checked all fuses I could find and they seem fine. Ones by drivers seat, ones round leisure battery etc.
Advice please on what to look for. A new relay or just a fuse.
Willington kit fused?

Contact Martin, he's a good person to deal with, and he'll probably know what you'll need!...It'll save buying the wrong bit
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
Re: Willington kit fused?
The "clicking all night unless on hookup" suggests the relay making and breaking the link between the two batteries constantly.
The kit tells the relay to link the batteries when the main starter battery rises above a certain voltage (13.6 I think) - i.e. when it's being charge by the alternator.
For it to click all night then something is confusing it. Sounds like your fridge was drawing power from the main starter battery, draining it below 13.6v, then the willington clicks-off. Then , because the fridge is off, due to low voltage, the battery voltage climbs, and the willington clicks on again, ad infinitum. BUT - I cant see the battery repeatedly climbing high enough for the willington relay to click on without running the engine or being plugged into a hook up.
You sure the clicking wasn't the fridge?

Re: Willington kit fused?
I have messaged him now Helen. Thanks. it was definitly the relay clicking, dodgy, as the green light flashed in sync. Will let you know outcome.
Re: Willington kit fused?
Martin will send replacement relay at cost + pp. Cant say fairer than that.
