Aerial

Post by stuc » Sat Dec 08, 2012 2:18 pm

Hi I've done it before but how does the aerial mast come off?
Is it just the little black grommet to remove or the chrome ring and grommet, cos i cant budge mine.

For the AFT rather than the Tintop; To remove the aerial rod rather than the mount itself you prise out the thin metal cap to reveal the Hex key below, remember to watch out for the ball bearing when you release the rod itself, otherwise you'll be visiting the bike shop for a replacement ;-)

One way to remove the centre cap is to drill a small hole in the middle and fit a self-tapper screw in the hole so you can lever it off.
