Yep, after a rad replacement , my water pump went. There must be a correlation between increased efficiency of flow/temp from new rad, and old pump leaking?..or maybe not!! Dave

I think I'm right in saying that if ADS fit a rad, they fit a rad, stat pump and cambelt as a package or not at all for possibly this reason. I guess they get enough work this way and fewer comebacks.

I have coolant leak paranoia. I had a similar problem when fitting a new radiator. Well to a much lesser degree. The bottom hose would not seal well on the new rad. Replaced bottom hose, hose clips. bled system and all has been well for five months.

I also replaced both the expansion tank cap and radiator cap.

My low coolant alarm gets a little confused from cold though for the first minute or so of running. Chirps away at low volume then all is ok. I generally always check the coolant level before starting anyway.
