Just changed the two o rings in fuel pump and now there is no sign of life.
Bongo will not fire up, is this serious ?
What do i need to do, is there air in the pump?

Lift the drivers seat and you'll see the fuel filter, on the housing you'll see a rubber dome, squidge this until it hardens up then wind her over and she should fire.

I don't have a pump on mine, either. I read that they're self bleeding. I haven't worked on the pump but after a fuel filter change, I was cranking for 10/20 seconds before it started again. How long did you try for? Don't flatten your battery, though.
Edit: there may be a problem with the pump after re-assembly. I don't know if constant cranking would cause additional grief if there was a problem internally - you decide.

What she doesn't know won't hurt me.

How long have you tried turning it over for? May need to give it a bit longer than you would normally expect.

Around about 7-10 seconds two or three times.
The first times it did fire for about 2 seconds then nothing.

May be worth trying it in 10 second bursts. Need to get the pump spinning to suck the fuel from the tank. There aren't any wires or hoses left over after the repairs?

I suggest that you buy some diesel injector cleaner some rubber tubing and a small funnel.
Put the tube onto the inlet pipe just above the banjo filter, fill the hose with the injector cleaner, and then crank the engine. it will fire almost immediately. then do a swap of the rubber tubes and try again. by that means the pump will be charged wth enough fuel to pull diesel through from the tank.
Alternatively just keep charging the battery (or use jump leads) till it fires. Takes a long time for the fuel to get through.

Just tried it for ten seconds not a sign of life.
Will probably try the injector cleaner route.
Thanks all

Listen buddy, it ran fine before you changed the seals so it should be ok now, go back over every thing you've done, have you definitely reconected any electrical conectors that have been undone during your work, did you disconect any fuel lines ? have they been reconected properly ? undo the fuel pipes at the injector to see if fuel is getting to them, any vehicle that doen't have a primer pump should be self bleeding.

No electrical connections or fuel line were disconnected.
The only things taken off were the air intake pipe and the power steering resovoir was moved to one side to give me better access.

crack several of the pipes that go onto the injectors and cover with a cloth to stop it spraying every where, nip up when it start to fire.

Cracked open the fuel pipes this morning no sign of diesel when cranked over.
Called the AA, patrolman reckons it is the stop solenoid, does this sound right, if so where can i get one of these from.
Motor factors or Mazda.
