Red Squirrel in November
The proposed Winter meet in January 2013 (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=58179) is still quite a way away.
I'm hoping to go back to the 'Squirrel with a small group of non-Bongo owners and a small trailer load of wood sometime in November, date TBD.

Aha, ours could be with us by the 12th of November. Maybe that would be a good 'shake down' meet

Re: Red Squirrel in November (23rd-25th)
Decided on Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th, weather permitting.
There's only going to be a few of us there, but we're gonna keep warm!

Hi
We might come as long as it's not really, really wet or really really cold.

Of course! Originally, I was just heading up there with some mates (and probably with the young lad, too). As there's many a Bongonaut who enjoys the 'Squirrel, I put it out on here too. The more the merrier, and the larger the pile of firewood.the laird wrote:Can anybody come to this one in nov.?Cause we missed your last one and fancy c'mon after seeing pics that were posted
I hope you do make it up! If the weather is prohibitive, I'll look at the following weekend as a second chance.
Matt.

Sounds good. Will try and make it this time. Was at Red Squirrel Monday/Tuesday last week ... bit of a building site near the ladies loos but I understand a new until is due shortly. Great site though ... and much as I remember it from many years ago.

May well see you there for a night or maybe 2. Still not 100% on what we are doing that weekend, but it's a strong possibility.

Re: Red Squirrel in November
Still very hopeful but June wants to go down to Reading to see her sons when she has completed all the tests at an Edinburgh private hospital. Trying to find out the source of the constant pain in her side where her gall bladder and some stones were removed in 2005. Xray at local hospital 5 months ago showed nothing,(waiting ever since for an MRI scan). MRI scan yesterday at private hospital, endoscopy next week ditto. Mostly paid for by my backup medical insurance with Benhealth Care (formerly Post Office & Civil Service Sanitorium Society).
Someone has to say at home and look after the cat which June refuses to put in to an unheated cattery for a day or two during the winter.
Fingers crossed.
