About to fit my refurbished fuel pump to my 2.5WLT engined Bongo.
Can anyone tell me how much deflection there should be when using a DTI gauge based timing tool?
The guy at the diesel place that did the work said "About" 1mm.

Hi the guy is correct, 0.95-1.05mm
Cheers.
Re: Fuel Pump Timing
Julian was most definitely right about the woodruff key on the fuel pump being a bit of a pig to locate in the receiving gear.
However, it was quite easy to see from underneath and turn the engine slightly to engage the key.
Thankfully, I had another pair of hands nearby to hold the pump while I turned the crank.
Surely, a near impossible task on one's own.
