Cubby box by gear stick

Anyone any idea how the cubby box comes out, I put a screwdriver on the lip but there didn't seem to be any movement or was I going too gingerly thanks very much

If you mean the ashtray, then yes it will just lift out with a little persuasion

Do you mean the big black hole in front of the gearstick, but below the stereo & A/C controls? If so, you cant remove it as its part of the dashboard molding.
