White smoke on start up, engine warm.

Post by chickenman » Mon Sep 03, 2012 1:28 pm

Engine produces a lot a white smoke on start up esp when engine is warm but disappears after about 30 seconds.
No loss of power but losing a little bit of coolant.
Temp gauge is normal.
Wondering if headgasket has gone??
Van is 2500 turbo diesel 1995 reg.
Can anyone advise please, thanks.

If it's using coolant then i could well have a head gasket issue, need to get a whiffer test done to confirm this tho .
