Stuck Ignition Key

Hi

My ignition key is stuck in the barrel, I have checked that it is in Park... Any ideas ????

Welcome!

Double-check...

Take it out of park, back into park, make sure key is turned all the way back and try again.

Sorry if that's unhelpful, but worth the double check. There was one occasion I couldn't start the van, despite being in park. After taking it out of park and back in again, it worked.

After that, if you remove the plastic center console, you should see the interlock lever/cable thingy coming out of the gear select at the front, driver's side corner - check it's not come away, and that it's moving as you'd expect it to coming in and out of park.

It could just be the steering lock. Twist the steering wheel from side to side it might free itself.

Try putting foot on the brake pedal a few times as it will disengage the interlock on the gear shift which is all linked up to the ignition lock.
