5 hours driving in France and then slow traffic in Paris, scavenging fan light came on clicking noise and loss of power. Pulled over and found advice on BF forum that this sometimes resolves itselfn the morning. However when tried to start again no power/turnover called AA type assistance and now biongo in garage, ? Alternator/ (battery not holding charge) any advice. Sorry about typos using my phone
Thanks

Re: no power in france
Hi
Any evidence of overheating / fluid loss / strange niffs?...If it's electrics, as you say, then maybe check earthing points as well!....
Another source of trouble not seen recently is the transmission getting over-hot,however, after a good cool-down , it usually runs again
The various indicator lamps are what they suggest...an indication...not always TOTALLY reliable
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

Hi,
It does sound like alternator problem,or a short somewhere. Are the belts OK (clicking sound)
Good luck.
