Over the last couple of days l'oreal has developed a metalic rattle at tickover as soon as seh gets above 1000 rpm the noise stops and she's fine, there is plenty of oil in her and she's not using any fluids, she drives fine and isn't chugging or smoking at all, i have had her up on the ramps and dropped the belly pan to check that every thing is as it should be and found that my crankshaft pulley retaining bolt was only finger tight

put a pulley lock on the pulley and tightened up the 38mm nut and hey presto no more rattle
Could have been nast tho if the bolt had of come out whilst i was on the move tho

Hi,
Mine's been doing this for a while.. thought it was something to do with a hole in my exhaust - fixed the exhaust and the noise is still there. She's not been used very much, perhaps just as well. Will check tonight! Yikes!
Cheers,
Steveyd
