I have a Willinton kit and a rear heavy duty rear 12V socket wired directly to the leisure battery in a 6mm2 pair via a 10A fuse.
Is it OK to plug a mains battery charger into this socket (mine is fitted with a suitable plug) or will it upset the voltage sensing relay in some way?

No, should be just fine, others use the Ctek system which is wired straight to the LB, do a search for Ctek

definitely will go for one of those in future and a CTek charger, very neat. My charger is the size of half a breeze block.Velocette wrote:Thanks, I'll have a look at that although not too flush at the moment having just lobbed a load of cash at Brittany Ferries? may put one in next year.dandemann8 wrote:No, should be just fine, others use the Ctek system which is wired straight to the LB, do a search for Ctek

Keep an eye on the Lidl / Aldi special offers - they both do Ctek-alike copies from time to time, about £30 instead of £100

Cheers, will do. I do like the dashboard monitor with input socket but I guess I could buy the Comfort Connect lead that fits it and graft it on to any charger. Unless it is a standard connector, I couldn't get a clear picture of it.dave_aber wrote:Keep an eye on the Lidl / Aldi special offers - they both do Ctek-alike copies from time to time, about £30 instead of £100
