Driving to France/Switzerland this weekend - will a satnav and a laptop playing kids films drain my battery as I drive ???

If it does drain your battery then there is somthing wrong with your charging system.

The short answer is no your battery will be fine as the altenator will keep it charged while driving

thank you longhaul - I was not sure if it would put too much of a drain on it.

But be aware that leaving the items running on the Ignition key ACC setting when the engine is not running WILL flatten your battery, it will be OK for an hour or so but don't parkup and leave the kids watching DVD's on the Laptop for several hours!

Leave my kids in the car watching dvd's for several hours - now there is an idea !!!! =D> =D> :lol: :lol:
