Rear Bumper Protector

Post by quiksilver » Fri Jul 27, 2012 12:38 pm

I have just had my rear bumper resprayed and want to look after it. I have seen some metal checker plate protectors on VW and Merc vans - has anybody fitted one to their Bongo? If so, where did you get hold of them?

Thanks.

A certain BDC has one fitted...... pm him for info.... I believe....it's a heavily modified Sprinter one.... not an offer up and fix job... as a temp solution the Mondeo one fits, its a plastic job...that's the model before last version............ but they are not cheap

Hi there,
I'm assuming mikexgough means the protector for the mk3 estate rather than hatch. The RGM ones are around £50 - I fitted one to my old Mondeo as the metallic silver paint Ford applied was appallingly easy to mark. The black plastic is ugly though - I sprayed mine Silver to match the car at the time.

I've got some thick heavy duty 'brushed' silver effect self-adh4sive vinyl which I want to cut and make a protector from. If I get around to it this week, I'll post some pics.
