I'm pretty sure that only does the keys-in-door-open beep. I'm not familiar with what's required to stop the reversing beep but I've unplugged that plug and my reversing beeper still works...

Just to double check i have just been out reconected the plug and my beeps are back for ignition and reverse.

Disconected again and both sets of beeps have stopped.

Could there be a differance in the wireing as mine is a tin top with others being freetops i wonder if the wireing is differant due to the beeps for the roof.

Is this beeping only on newer models then haven't got it on my 96 model, I had to use two beeping bulbs in mine for reversing.

Bleeping bulbs are bulbs with a bit added that makes a beeping sound when you are in reverse so pleople behind you can hear you not that they take any notice.

Just to confirm for anyone else who hates the reversing beep from under the drivers footwell, the following DOES work as I've just done it on my 96 'N' reg :

Quote "Hi,if you only want to stop the reversing bleeper, remove the red wire with the yellow tracer (ON THE PLUG)"!

All other beeps still work Ok ( AFT, lights on, keys in etc )

Sorted ..... =D>
