Front drivers side half shaft

Hi all,

More questions! whilst I had the front driver side wheel off today giving everything the once over I found the end of the half shaft (green bit on the photo) has a fair bit of up and down, left and right movement I wouldn't have thought this was normal? anyone else had this?

the green bit shouldnt have a lot of movement in itself. but the whole shaft is mounted on rubber mounts, as is the diff, so the whole lump does have some movement.

The movement is definitely just in the 'green' bit looks like I am going to have to strip it down and have a look

Finally got round to this today removed the inner CV joint from the end of the half shaft the bearing in the end is good and has no play so it must just be worn splines on shaft and in the CV joint not overly concerned so will repack with grease should get a few more miles out of it yet
