Banjo filter

Post by briwy » Sun Jul 15, 2012 6:51 pm

Just thought I'd clean the banjo filter on our 2001 diesel and there doesn't appear to be one. :?
Taken the banjo pipe off and there's nothing down the hole, no spring, no filter. I can push a thin wire in all the way to bottom of the hole.
Wondering if the later ones with the drive by wire pump don't have the filter in or has someone lost, nicked it.
Is it possible to get one if it should be there?

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

Hi briwy,

It would appear that the drive by wire IP does not have a factory filter fitted.

Cheers.
