Try control on the driver's door if you haven't already although it is unlikey to bypass the problem. It is probably the wiring between the two doors, most likely the driver's one as it gets more of a bashing usually. I have a RH driver's door harness on order from the club shop because mine had been repaired badly before and wasn't worth trying to fix, how it had managed to keep the mirrors locks and windows working for two years is a miracle as six of the thirteen wires were just twisted together and the rest where either brittle or nicked.

If you find it is damaged it may help to remove the footwell trim panel and door card, unclip the door shut grommet and door grommet and hinge clip and any other clips in the way and push the two connectors from behind the wing out between the car and the door and unplug. You can now thread the harness out through the big hole for'ard of the door handle somewhere where you can either work on it or decide to bin it and get a new one £90 ouch.

With a bit of luck it will be something more trivial and you can discard the above. if it is this there is a thread on here with pictures by someone who has done a neat repair and eliminated the major cause (the hinge clip and the Vee bend in the harness) at the same time.
