Just under the steering wheel (visible through the hole in the cowl) is a two pin white plastic connector. Disconnect that connector.

This will leave you with "lights on" and "reverse" beeps. Provided you still want them, that's all you need to do.

Edit: I assume you meant this rather than disconnecting the whole buzzer box - which in so doing would lose you the lights and reverse beeps.

If you don't pull it completely apart its easier if you do need to reconnect it later!

I tried this one years ago & found my glow plug light kept flashing till it was reconected...?!! :-?

I opted for an isolation switch from the white wire of the beep box for "camping mode".. Disables all, bar the reverse beep.
( I think it was the white wire?)
Tucked away nicely in the fuse box..

That's very odd, are you sure you got the right plug ? There are no connections from the SWS to the ECU and the glow-plug light - at least that are shown!

The very same plug Geoff.! I cant see any connection with the ECU either...

This beep stop tip is one of the first i tried when i joined the forum.. To my knowledge no one else has had this happen..

All i remember at the time was when the engine was running.. (or may have been pe-warm up?) It flashed... I thought oi oi that ain't right & plugged it back in..

I tried unplugging mine last night, the little wotsit wouldn't shift.....

Any handy hints or am I just being a bit too careful?

Thanks

Really have to push down the springy-tab-lock bit. I think you might be being careful. Don't break it, though... ;)

Hi Darron,

I seem to remember a clip topside of the white connector that hold the two half's together...

On mine it had a clip on the right side as you look at it from the drivers door ,that needs to be depressed whilst pulling apart.similar to all plastic electrical connectors that are used in the Bongo.
