hi guys,
my '95 bongo was missing the rear speakers. Whilst I was building some shelves to fit the n/s rear area I could see, and tested the plug for the rear n/s speaker and found it was working so just acquired some original bongo rear speakers with brackets. n/s rear works fine but when I took the o/s rear seat out and pulled the panel back I couldn't find the speaker plug !
any ideas where the wiring for that one is routed ? I see a wire continuing on from the n/s rear speaker but couldn't see the colour..it seems to dissappear up toward the roof at the tailgate and I wondered whether that could be the o/s rear speaker wiring....routed up and over...maybe it's hooked up out of sight somewhere....
thanks,
Ant.

Thought I had the same problem but the wiring was just coiled up and hidden.
Re: can't find o/s rear speaker wire/plug
thanks, been using the wiring manual already and I can see the respective offside and nearside rear speaker wires under the dash (although the manual suggest nearside rear is Orange & Yellow when it appears to be Orange & Yellow/Red in my car)...I've got the nearside rear plug, but not sure which direction to start working back in from where the offside plug is supposed to be....should I work back toward the tailgate and up, or down beneath the carpet...or should I work forward towards the dash to find the hidden coil of wire...
Incidently, where I expected to see the offside plug, there is a plug which does fit the speaker, but it's already connected to a female plug..the wires black/yellow & black and it just appears to be a normal part of the loom ...just thought it was odd it fits the speaker ..the male end (which will fit the speaker) is coming from the tailgate with the female end coming from the front of the car....yes I've tried it..and no noise

Re: can't find o/s rear speaker wire/plug
god I hate giving up..I spent the whole day trying...couldn't find it in the roof, behind the panels or inside the tailgate column..nothing....failed to trace it from the radio as it seemed to dissappear inside a thick loom on the drivers side dashboard so in the end I gave up and ran a new length....grrrrrrr....how can it have a nearside loom and nothing on the offside !
